Our Christmas Mantle {& review}

I love decorating for each holiday and one of my favorite places to decorate is our mantle because it's in the room we spend the most time in as a family. It's so much fun to open a box fun of decorations after they've been put away for almost a year. All the oohs and ahhs from the kids make me smile because although the decorations aren't new, they represent a fun time of the year.

When we moved to Colorado we unfortunately had to leave a lot of things behind. When I was deciding what to keep I thought about what really meant the most to me and I could only fill a small box.

So here's my mantle this year. Our first Christmas in Colorado.

Each piece means something special to me.

My favorite Christmas is tradition is pictures with Santa. We do it every year so each year I get to add a new frame to my collection. I will never forget last year when we were standing in line and the lady in front of us told us her kids' gift to her every year for the past 41 years was a picture of them with Santa. I hope I can convince my kids to do this special picture for me for that many years.

I also love stockings and I always knew I wanted matching ones so I went with these from Stuck On You. I loved being part of the process from choosing the design of the stocking to picking out the color and font I wanted their names done with. When I got them in the mail the first thing I noticed was the quality of work that went into them. I will definitely cherish these stockings for years to come!

I made the garland and the wreath myself. The time in effort I put into them alone was why I kept them. The two Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer decorations were given to us by my best friend and the big wooden reindeer was made for us by a family member. The noel sign was one of the first Christmas decorations I bought when we moved into to the first home my husband and I bought together.

Christmas time means different things to many people. One of my favorite things during the holidays is sticking with the traditions we have made as a family. I love that I have these decorations to put up with my family as just one of our yearly traditions.
