"Mama Makes" with Victoria

It's time to get into the Halloween and Fall spirit!  I hope you enjoy this week long series, Mama Makes Halloween Edition.

Today I would like to introduce you to my friend Victoria.  She is just the sweetest and I so wish she lived next door to me!

Hey Y'all, I'm Victoria I blog over at One.Crafty.Momma. I'm so excited to be back again for Mama Makes - Halloween Edition! This project came about pretty accidentally - I wanted needed to find something for Bean, my 4 year old, to do one day last week, and it turned into a painting excursion!

Tada!!  Halloween Cup Garland!
What you'll need: cups (I used styrofoam), paint (I used acryllic), construction paper, googly eyes and your imagination!

Start by having your child (or you) paint the cups:
Next, I used my Cricut and cut out some pieces to decorate. You could totally do this with a pair of scissors and some construction paper! I laid them out so, when the 4 year old was gluing, it wasn't chaos!

We made a witch, vampire, ghost, Frankenstein, jack-o-lantern, black cat, bat, spider and mummy!

The next step was gluing, there are no pictures of this step - because the camera, Bean and glue don't mix!
Here they are finished:
To make them into a garland, I poked a hole in the top of the cup:
Pushed the thread thru:
Made a really big knot:
...and strung all of them together:
Thank you so much, Summer, for having me! I can't wait to see what the other Mama's have made!

Thank you so much Victoria!
