I'm always on the lookout for new ideas to do with the boys. Summer break is now here for us! I thought each week I would share a craft or fun activity that would be great for the boys in your life (fine for girls too).
Supplies:
-paint or tempera powder
-water
-bowls
-dish soap
-straws
-paper
Directions:
1. Put a scoop of paint in a bowl, squirt some dish soap in it and pour about 1/4 cup of water in it and stir. Do that with each color paint your little guy chooses.
2. Give them a straw and them to blow bubbles. Real big!! *remind them to not suck in and to use the same side of the straw that way they don't get the paint/soap in their mouth!*
3. When their bubbles are really high, show them to hold their piece of paper above the bubbles then pop them with their paper by pressing the paper all the way down to the bowl.
4. Continue doing that with each color. They should have a pretty neat looking picture when they are done!
Umm Hudson, turn your picture around! :)
Note: I found out that washable paint doesn't work very well. It shows up really light. Tempera paint or powder should work perfectly!
If your little guy makes this, please leave me a link to your blog post in this comment section! I would love to see it.
