This dinner is pretty easy to make and turns out super yummy. It's very filling and perfect on a cold night.
I think I should have probably cleaned the table before I took this picture. See the thread from my project?
Ingredients:
-1 to 1.5 pounds of ground turkey
-1 can of black beans (drained)
-1 can of kidney beans (drained)
-1 can of Rotel (diced tomatoes & green chilies)
-2 tbsp. of chili powder
-1.5 to 2 cups of chicken broth
-1 bell pepper (diced)
-1 onion (diced)
-salt and pepper
-1 tsp. minced garlic
Garnish:
-sour cream
-Cheez-its
Directions:
In a medium sauté pan, cook the onions and bell pepper until the onions are translucent. When finished place them into the crock pot. Brown the ground turkey. When done, pour out the grease then put the ground turkey into the crock pot. Put the drained beans and Rotel in the crock pot. Add the chili powder, minced garlic, salt and pepper. Add the broth. It should just almost come to top of the chili. Set the crock pot on high for a few hours. Serve with Cheeze-its if you want a nice crunch and cheese flavor or with sour cram to make it just a little creamier. So good!
This looks yummy! I always make Taco soup, but your turkey chili would be a good substitute when I feel like mixing things up!
