Succulents in a cup

Hosting a party and need a favor idea?  I've got you covered.  Back in Ocotber I had a Baby Sprinkle for Gavin.  I wanted something simple but still cool for my guests to take home.  I didn't want anything cheesy or something that would just be tossed away.

I have a love of both succulents and vintage cups.  My idea was born.  Pair them together.

Here's what I did.  For about a month or two before the shower I would go to our local thrift stores and look for vintage cups that I liked. Sometimes I would find just 1 and sometimes I would find 4.  The key is to do this ahead of time.  The day before the shower I went to our local hardware store and purchased a bunch of succulents and cactus dirt. Then I just assembled them.  I'm pretty happy with the way they turned out and I think my guests enjoyed them too!  They each got to pick out their own cup to take with them.

The reason I love succulents so much is that they are pretty easy to take care of.  I don't have a green thumb.  The key to succulents is giving them enough sun and don't water them everyday.  Just water them every 2-3 days during the hot months and about once a week during the cold months.
