Hudson's Quilt

I'm so excited to have finished a quilt for Hudson.  I've been telling him that I would make him one and I was able to finish it in 3 days.

It took me a while to find the fabric I liked but when I found the retro campers fabric (red fabric), I knew it was perfect.   I then picked out the other fabric around it and some I had on hand.  It has a camping theme to it.  There are campers, ants, trees, wood grain, plaid and polka dots.

I cut out my fabric into 12x12 inch squares. I laid out the squares on the floor until I liked the pattern.  I made sure there was no repeating in each row both horizontally and vertically. Then it was time to sew. I used an old grey sheet for the backing.  For the quilting I just sewed 1/4 inch lines on both sides of the seams.  This quilt, although not perfect at all, is super cozy and cute!
Hudson loves it and that's all that counts!

Hudson and I think that Parker needs a Star Wars themed quilt.
