Let's make some juice!

I know I haven't shared our juicing adventures with you all lately.  We are still juicing about once a day.  Juicing is perfect for my youngest son because he is the pickiest eater in the world and with juicing at least I know he's getting some fruits and veggies in his day. As for the rest of us, it's just plain good.

Lately we have been all about mangoes. They are so yummy and juicy right now.  It pretty much kicks up the flavor in our juice.

What you need:
- 1 mango
- 5 apples
- 3 big carrots or 1 cup of baby carrots
- 2 oranges

Directions:
First I wash everything. Then I cut the apples in half, peel the mango and remove the pit and then peel the oranges.  Then juice it all!  Serve over ice.  It yields a little over 3.5 cups.

If you are just starting out with juicing, keep it simple.  Start with what you like and then start experimenting.   Fruit is always the "yummy" way to go but start adding in some easy veggies like carrots and spinach.  They don't change the taste too much.  Also, add a little bit, and I mean a little bit because it can be overpowering, of ginger too! Once you get comfortable you will want to be more veggies over fruit.

Sometimes I replace a meal with a juice.  Usually it's my lunch.  Other times it's a healthy snack. After a while you will learn how much juice you can get from each each fruit/veggie and it becomes fun.

Do you juice?  What's your favorite combo right now?
