Boys of Summer Series: Blow Art

I'm always on the lookout for new ideas to do with the boys.  Summer break is now here for us!  I thought each week I would share a craft or fun activity that would be great for the boys in your life (fine for girls).

Supplies:
-white paper or card stock
-paint
-straw
-tape
-water (optional)

Directions:
1. Tape the paper down to the table.  That way when they start blowing the paint, the paper doesn't go flying!

2. My paint was a little thick so I mixed in a little water.  That way it can spread better.  Put a couple drops of paint on the paper.

3. You can show them how to hold the straw a little above the paint and blow through the straw to spread out the paint.

4.  Once your color stops spreading, add another color.  Keep repeating until the picture is done.

Now you have a really cool and original piece of artwork to hang in his room!

If your little guy does this, please leave me a link to your blog post in this comment section!  I would love to see it.

Did you enjoy this craft?
